The Earth is currently experiencing a Mass Extinction Event, it’s sixth known to Man.
Mostly do to Human activity which has extracted resources from the planet and produced massive amounts of waste and pollution, destroying ecosystems in every part of the world.
Every body of water will become polluted/contaminated
Global Food Crop output will decline substantially
Oceans temperatures will warm, allowing for massive blooms of algae causing die off of marine life.
Humans will suffer with starvation as clean water, food crops and meat proteins; fish, beef, fowl become scarce and/or extinct
Governments will order their military to obtain any foreign or domestic valuable resources that remain.
